Safe Work Australia unveils innovative tools for reporting WHS data

Safe Work Australia has introduced new tools for reporting Work Health and Safety (WHS) data.

According to Safe Work, the recently introduced dashboard for tracking the frequency rate of workers' compensation injuries relies solely on data obtained from the national workers' compensation dataset provided by Safe Work Australia.

The information can be categorised based on industry, profession, type of injury, and degree of severity.

Safe Work says that, due to the establishment of more comprehensive data and tools, the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) calculator will be phased out from the data website in March 2025.

“Any saved LTIFR calculator webpage links should be updated with the new workers’ compensation injury frequency rate dashboard and WHS data reporting tools,” Safe Work Australia states.
