Safe Work Australia releases new yearly report

Safe Work Australia has published its latest annual report, ‘Evidence Matters.’

Evidence Matters presents the research and data that form the foundation of Safe Work Australia's policy efforts, aiding the safety agency in fulfilling its strategic aim of promoting healthier, safer, and more productive workplaces.

Safe Work Australia says this premier edition reviews a year of notable progress for the  safety regulator, highlighting the unveiling of the Research and Evaluation Strategy, the hosting of the Research Summit, and the implementation of new data initiatives.

“In 2026, we will build on this momentum and our commitment to evidence-informed policy with a focus on strengthening our research partnerships, refining our strategic research and data priorities, and progressing the best practice review of the model WHS laws,” Safe Work Australia said.
