Safe Work Australia publishes new workers’ compensation research report

Safe Work Australia has released a research report conducted by Monash University that explores early intervention in the workers’ compensation process.

According to the federal workplace health and safety regulator, the report titled ‘Early intervention in the workers’ compensation process’ evaluates the evidence surrounding different strategies for early intervention in workers’ compensation in Australia, focusing on how these approaches can help decrease recovery times and promote better return to work outcomes for injured employees.

“The independent research included expert consultation with a diverse range of stakeholders in the workers’ compensation and return to work fields, an environmental scan and summary of national and international literature,” Safe Work Australia said.

The report is accessible here.
