Safe Work Australia publishes new guide aimed at addressing the risks linked to the installation of rooftop solar systems

Safe Work Australia has introduced a new guide to assist in managing the health and safety risks related to rooftop solar installation tasks, covering aspects from retail and planning through to installation and testing.

According to Safe Work Australia, the process of installing solar panels on rooftops involves substantial health and safety challenges, which include the risks of operating at heights, the danger posed by falling objects, the risk of heat stress, and the necessity of working with electrical systems.
