Safe Work Australia discontinues Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) calculator

Safe Work Australia has announced that new data reporting tools launched in December on its data website, Our Data. Your Stories have now taken the place of the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) calculator.

The federal safety agency states that it extensively consulted on various approaches to assist users in more precisely evaluating, measuring, and reporting data regarding WHS performance

“While the LTIFR calculator was useful for drawing conclusions about the impact of poor WHS on productivity, there were limitations when it was used in isolation to measure WHS performance,” Safe Work Australia stated.
