SA workplaces urged to promote World Day for Safety at Work and Workers' Memorial Day 2022

SafeWork SA is encouraging workplaces to recognise the importance of workplace safety by promoting World Day for Safety at Work and Workers' Memorial Day 2022 on 28 April.

The theme for this year's World Day for Safety and Health at Work is 'Act together to build a positive safety and health culture'.

SafeWork SA said, "Workplaces, employers and workers are encouraged to foster a strong work health and safety culture. One where everyone contributes to a safe working environment."

Statistics show 194 Australian workers were killed at work in 2020, with 11 of the fatalities occurring in South Australia.
