Rider sustains head injuries after falling from horse

A woman was flown to hospital with head injuries after falling from her horse in South East Queensland.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the Lockyer Valley region on Thursday afternoon.

Paramedics treated the woman in her 20s at the scene before the rescue chopper flew her to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
