Rider sustains critical injuries in ATV incident at Hawke’s Bay

A rider was airlifted to Wellington Hospital with life-threatening injuries on Thursday morning after an ATV collision at a rural property in Hawke’s Bay.

Emergency services were alerted to the work-related incident in the Hastings District at around 7:30am.

A WorkSafe spokesperson mentioned that they were informed of an agricultural incident, with preliminary indications suggesting the involvement of an ATV.

According to the spokesperson, inspectors were on-site to gather information to ascertain the details of the event's circumstances.
