Rider airlifted to hospital after crashing quad bike north east of Roma

An injured rider was flown to hospital following a quad bike incident in the Western Downs region on Tuesday morning.

The LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter flew to a property north-east of Roma at about 11am.

The man in his 30s suffered a suspected shoulder injury during the incident. He was treated at the scene and flown to Roma airport by the rescue chopper. He was later transported by road to Roma Hospital.

He travelled in stable condition.
