Regulator releases primary compliance priorities for first half of 2026

The NSW Resources Regulator has published its primary compliance priorities and assessment initiatives for the next half year.

The regulator said these priorities focus on ensuring continuous safety and sustainability in the State’s mining sector.

The Regulator mentioned that they make these priorities public to support the industry and the community in understanding what they will focus on, so they can implement actions to address any risks.

“Even though we highlight certain focus areas, we’ll still carry out our usual compliance checks and may change our focus if new issues come up,” the regulator said.
