Queenslanders encouraged to participate in Safe Work Month to save lives
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland emphasises that the primary objective of National Safe Work Month this October is to save lives through increased awareness of workplace health and safety. The safety agency further states that safety is not a matter of luck or speculation; rather, it is a collective responsibility.
During Safe Work Month, the Office of Industrial Relations hosts an extensive program of events, which provides an exceptional chance to illustrate your commitment to advancing health and safety in the workplace, along with improving rehabilitation and return-to-work results.
Queensland Mental Health Week coincides with Safe Work Month, taking place from October 5 to October 13.
Deputy Director General Donna Heelan urges Queenslanders to engage in discussions regarding workplace health and safety with their teams, families, and colleagues throughout Safe Work Month.
