Queensland Road Safety Week reminds all drivers to prioritise road safety

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has recently reminded truck and light vehicle drivers to make road safety a priority.

The regulator issued the reminder during this year’s Queensland Road Safety Week (21-25 August), a week-long event aimed at promoting road safety in Queensland.

NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto OAM said the regulator supports this year’s theme ‘Road safety starts with me.’

“Our organisation’s purpose is to ensure heavy vehicle safety for the benefit of all road users, and this campaign is a powerful reminder for heavy vehicle drivers to make safe decisions when they are behind the wheel,” Mr Petroccitto said.
