Pilot suffers severe burns after light plane crashes in NSW

A pilot suffered severe burn injuries after a light plane crashed and burst into flames in the NSW Hunter Valley.

The man in his 40s was flown to the Royal North Shore Hospital in critical condition.

The light plane came down near an airstrip in Luskintyre, northwest of Maitland, on Monday afternoon.
