Pilot injured after light plane crash

A pilot has been injured after his light plane crashed north-northeast of Adelaide on Wednesday afternoon.

The aircraft went down around 5pm on a property in Mulyungarie near the NSW border.

The pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.

Recreational Aviation Australia is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

SafeWork SA has also been informed.
