Pilot dies after light plane crashes in southern Queensland

A pilot died after his light plane crashed in southern Queensland on Thursday afternoon.

The aircraft crashed on a private property southwest of Warwick just after midday.

The property owner called the police after he noticed a small grass fire.

The pilot died at the scene.
