Person fatally injured following incident at rural worksite in Hawke's Bay

A person has died following a collision at a rural workplace in Hawke's Bay.

Police were alerted around 2:15pm on Tuesday after receiving reports of a worker sustaining injuries in Patoka.

The incident prompted a response from Hato Hone St John, which deployed a helicopter to the scene. Later, police authorities announced that one person had been confirmed as deceased.

A spokesperson stated that WorkSafe will be notified, and investigations into the fatality are currently in progress.
