NT WorkSafe’s Electrical Safety Board accepting nominations

NT WorkSafe is inviting individuals to submit nominations for consideration to become members of the inaugural Electrical Safety Board.

The Electrical Safety Board, created in accordance with the Electrical Safety Act 2022, effective as of 1 July 2024, is tasked with various responsibilities.

These include providing recommendations to the relevant Minister on electrical safety matters, assessing the effectiveness of the electrical safety laws, and advocating for electrical safety in both workplaces and communities.

The Electrical Safety Board will create a Discipline Committee that will be in charge of enforcing disciplinary measures on electrical licence holders in accordance with Part 6 of the Act.
