NT WorkSafe drops charges against Darwin crane company

A Darwin crane company will spend $63,000 on initiatives that will help improve safety in the construction industry after the Northern Territory workplace health and safety regulator, WorkSafe, accepted an enforceable undertaking (EU) from the company following a 2019 workplace incident.

The incident happened at a Palmerston construction site when a 1.8-tonne switchboard fell onto two workers. The workers suffered serious crush injuries.
