NSW workplaces urged to host a SafeTea event to discuss workplace safety this October

SafeWork NSW is encouraging workplaces to organise a SafeTea event this October as part of National Safe Work Month.

This year’s theme is ‘Know Safety, Work Safely’, reminding workers and employers to make a commitment to build a safe workplace where everyone feels secure.

SafeWork’s SafeTea encourages employers and workers to discuss workplace health and safety over a cup of tea.

“This SafeWork month we want to make sure everyone at the workplace understands safe methods of work, and feels they have the chance to raise any safety concerns or safer ways of doing everyday work tasks,” SafeWork Executive Director Regulatory Engagement, Andrew Gavrielatos said.

“To take part, visit the SafeWork website where you can download resources including a SafeTea talk checklist and other resources to kick start your safety discussion this October.”
