NSW resources regulator releases Quarterly safety report for October to December 2025

The NSW Resources Regulator has issued its Quarterly Safety Report for October to December 2025, to assist the industry in better assessing safety management systems and performing risk evaluations at their facilities.

This report provides a detailed account of incidents and trends related to hazard management, as well as sector-specific data.

“As a high-hazard regulator, we focus on compliance with legislative requirements associated with principal and other high-risk hazards,” the regulator states in the report.

In the current reporting quarter, 501 incident notifications were received — a 16% reduction from the last quarter and a 9% drop from the corresponding period last year.
