NSW Resources Regulator releases key compliance objectives for the first half of 2025

The NSW Resources Regulator has recently published its Compliance Priorities for the period of January to June 2025, detailing essential compliance priorities and proactive assessment initiatives for the upcoming six months.

“By publishing our compliance priorities, we aim to increase transparency, community and industry confidence in our regulatory activities, and increase levels of voluntary compliance,” the regulator states.

According to the regulator, from January to June 2025, proactive assessment initiatives will encompass mine safety evaluation programs for both coal and metalliferous mines, with particular emphasis on areas such as fire and explosion risks, air quality management, road safety, and electrical engineering.
