NSW Resources Regulator releases compliance priority report on psychosocial awareness

The NSW Resources Regulator has issued its compliance priority report addressing psychosocial awareness.

This report reviews the specific assessments performed by the Regulator at small mines in the initial half of 2024.

The Regulator says it is implementing measures to tackle psychosocial risks and sexual harassment in the state’s mining sector. This effort is part of a sustained commitment to uphold the safety and well-being of every worker in the sector.

“Mine operators and workers are reminded that psychosocial or physical harassment and sexual assault represent an extreme form of unacceptable workplace behaviour,” the regulator said.
