NSW Resources Regulator publishes Annual Mine Safety Performance Report 2020 - 2021

The NSW Resources Regulator has published its Annual Mine Safety Performance Report for 2020 – 2021.

According to the resources regulator, the report provides a 10-year overview of industry safety performance and regulatory activity data under work health and safety legislation.

The Resources Regulator added that the report will enable operators to assess their safety performance against others in the sector.

According to the report, overall industry frequency rates of severe injuries, lost time injuries, and total recordable injuries have declined steadily since 2011 – 2012.
