NSW Resources Regulator announces compliance focus areas for the latter half of 2025

The NSW Resources Regulator has released its Compliance Priorities for the second half of 2025, defining crucial compliance goals for the upcoming six months. These goals are intended to promote ongoing safety and sustainability within the mining industry in NSW.

The compliance priorities set for July through December 2025 involve addressing the hazards posed by conveyor fires in underground coal mines and the provision of underground emergency exits.

The Regulator said it will ‘focus on the management of entanglement risks with rotating parts, principal hazard management plans and principal control plans for quarries.’
