NSW enhancing efficiency and reducing costs with digital licences for High-Risk Work

The NSW Government is streamlining the application process for construction workers, manufacturers, and factory operators seeking a High-Risk Work Licence, which will result in significant savings of time and money.

The Government says customers may now apply for their High-Risk Work Licence online through Service NSW, by submitting their application on the Service NSW website and then going to their closest Service NSW Centre if a photo is needed.

Government figures reveal that annually, between 75,000 and 100,000 High-Risk Work Licence transactions take place in NSW.

Minister for Work Health and Safety Sophie Cotsis said holders of High-Risk Work Licences perform essential tasks in NSW with cranes, forklifts, hoists, and rigs.

“Digitising this process will save workers money and time and should benefit around 425,000 current High-Risk Work Licence holders in NSW,” she said.
