NHVR urges truckies to make their health a top priority during Men's Health Week

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is reminding truck drivers to prioritise their mental and physical well-being during Men's Health Week.

Men's Health Week is observed internationally from June 10th to June 16th.

NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto OAM noted that as integral members of Australia's logistics network, truckies confront distinct challenges such as prolonged hours behind the wheel and extended periods of separation from loved ones.

“The NHVR recognises that Men’s Health Week is an opportune moment for a large majority of our truck drivers to reflect on their mental and physical well-being and make it a top priority,” Mr Petroccitto said.

“In an industry where demands are high and the distances are vast, it’s imperative for all truck drivers to remember that their mental and physical health comes first.”
