NHVR supports National Farm Safety Week, urges drivers to share the road with agricultural vehicles

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is working with the agricultural industry to promote heavy vehicle safety during National Farm Safety Week.

National Farm Safety Week aims to raise awareness of the importance of working safely on farms.

The 2023 theme, ‘Stay on the safe side’, encourages motorists to share the road with agricultural vehicles.

NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto said, “National Farm Safety Week is a timely opportunity to remind all drivers of the importance of taking caution around farming and other heavy vehicles.”

Mr Petroccitto said the NHVR has partnered with key stakeholders to improve safety in the agriculture industry.
