New Zealand worker dies after being struck by a vehicle

A person has been killed in a workplace incident in New Zealand's North Island.

The worker was struck by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called at around 4pm, but the worker died at the scene, according to police.

WorkSafe has been notified.
