New Zealand road worker fatally injured after being struck by vehicle

WorkSafe has commenced an investigation after the fatality of a road worker who was hit by a vehicle in the central North Island on Tuesday morning.

Emergency responders attended to the tragic collision on Taihape-Napier Rd shortly after 11:20am.

Police said the worker died at the scene.

The driver also sustained injuries, according to police.
