The mining sector in NSW has come together to convey a powerful safety message aimed at minimising negative vehicle interactions at mining sites.

The Resources Regulator has published a new video showcasing industry representatives to complement its Technical Reference Guide.

The Technical Reference Guide ‘Roads or other vehicle operating areas principal hazard management plan for surface mining operations’ was established after extensive engagement with industry professionals. It delivers practical approaches for detecting and controlling vehicle-related dangers in surface mining environments.

“The Technical Reference Guide uses a layered approach to achieving safe operating states for mobile plant. From site design to machinery intervention, the guide provides a comprehensive layered approach to vehicle hazard identification, assessment and control,” the resources regulator said.
