New stats show 146 Australian workers killed on the job so far this year

New Safe Work Australia data shows 146 Australian workers have so far been killed at work this year.

Transport, postal & warehousing, with 62 deaths, has been named as the industry with the most workplace fatalities. The agriculture, forestry & fishing industry comes second, with 32 fatalities, followed by Construction, with 16 deaths.

Safe Work Australia says no deaths have been reported in the Education & Training, Financial & insurance services, Information media & telecommunications and Rental, hiring & real estate services industries.
