New model Code of Practice to help prevent sexual and gender-based harassment at work

A new model Code of Practice to address workplace sexual and gender-based harassment has been released.

Safe Work Australia says the model Code: Sexual and Gender-based Harassment, offers practical tips on how to prevent sexual and gender-based harassment in the workplace.

“Persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) must take a proactive, consultative and preventative approach to sexual and gender-based harassment, whether it comes from colleagues, customers or the public, and whether it’s online or in person,” Safe Work Australia said.

Safe Work Australia says the model Code will help employers to comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
