New chief executive takes charge at WorkSafe Victoria

WorkSafe Victoria has undergone a leadership transition with the recent appointment of Joe Calafiore as the safety watchdog's new CEO.

According to the Victorian Government, Mr Calafiore who previously acted as the interim boss of the safety agency possesses a vast amount of experience that prepares him for the task ahead.

Mr. Calafiore assumes the role previously held by former CEO Colin Radford, who guided WorkSafe for close to four years.

Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC Danny Pearson said, “Every worker deserves to come home safe from work – Mr Calafiore will lead WorkSafe as it continues to reduce workplace harm and improve outcomes for injured workers.”
