National Safe Work Month Wraps up as workplace death toll mounts

This is the last week of National Safe Work Month, and Safe Work Australia is focusing on safe and healthy work for all.

This year’s campaign focused on a different topic each week.

Early this week, Safe Work Australia published a new report highlighting the benefits of workplace safety.

Safe Work Australia said “This week, we will showcase key insights and findings from the report, illustrating the significant whole-of-community benefits that can be realised by keeping people safe and healthy at work.”

Safe Work Australia has also recently released the latest workplace fatality figures. The data reveals that so far this year, 127 Australian workers have been killed at work, 11 more than at the same time last year.
