National Safe Work Month campaign focusing on managing WHS risks during third week of National Safe Work Month

This year’s National Safe Work Month is focusing on a different topic each week.

This week, Safe Work Australia is focusing on WHS risks management and preventing harm at workplaces.

Safe Work Australia said “Managing WHS risks means thinking about how things could go wrong at your workplace and what the consequences could be for your workers or other people.”

“You must first eliminate the WHS risks as much as you reasonably can. If you can’t eliminate a risk, you must minimise the risk to workers as much as is reasonably practicable.”

During the first week of National Safe Work Month, the focus was on injuries at work. The campaign turned its focus on mental health in the second week.
