Multiple charges laid after worker loses arm at Northern Territory cattle station

A Queensland cattle company and two of its employees are facing ‘reckless conduct charges’ after a cattle station worker lost his arm in a workplace incident.

The worker's hand was crushed by a post driver while working on a fence at a cattle station in the Katherine region in November 2022.

The Northern Territory work health and safety watchdog has charged the three defendants with six breaches of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011 following the incident.

The case will be mentioned at the Darwin Local Court early next month.
