Most businesses complying with COVID-19 Protection Framework - WorkSafe New Zealand

WorkSafe New Zealand is thanking businesses that have made changes to meet their COVID-19 requirements since the country moved to the COVID-19 Protection Framework.

WorkSafe Head of General Inspectorate Simon Humphries said the safety regulator had engaged with over 1000 businesses.

“To the businesses who have looked at the rules and made sure they are doing what’s needed to keep New Zealanders healthy and safe, thank you,” Humphries said.

“The number who aren’t following the rules is a very small minority when you consider how many businesses there are across New Zealand in general, and how many have some form of requirements around My Vaccine Pass.

“When a concern is raised about a business, as part of our ‘educate first’ approach, we reach out to them and provide information about changes they need to make to be compliant.

New Zealand moved to the COVID-19 Protection Framework on 3 December 2020. The framework provides protection from COVID-19 through 3 settings - Green, Orange and Red.
