Melbourne traffic controller killed at work

A traffic controller sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a car on Wednesday morning.

The 58-year-old man was working on a Melbourne freeway when he was reportedly hit by a car just after midnight.

The man was transported to hospital but later died.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
