Mechanic critical after truck rolls on him in southern Queensland


A mechanic was severely injured after being crushed by a truck at a worksite near Toowoomba on Thursday evening.

At around 7.30pm, a man in his twenties was preparing a truck to be towed at Pilton when the vehicle rolled over him, resulting in serious injuries to his chest, abdomen, pelvis, and shoulder.

Paramedics transported him to Toowoomba Hospital and he was later airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The incident is currently under investigation by both the police and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
