Marie Boland to head Safe Work Australia

Marie Boland has been appointed to head Safe Work Australia after Workplace Relations Minister, Tony Burke, named Ms Marie Boland AO to lead the federal safety agency.

Workplace Relations Minister Burke confirmed Ms Boland previously served as SafeWork SA's executive director from 2015 to 2017, bringing extensive workplace health expertise to her new role.

Boland's Background and Qualifications

"Ms Boland brings significant experience to the role, having completed the National Review of Australia's model work health and safety laws in December 2018 – known as the Boland Review," Burke said.
