Man trampled by cattle at Geelong abattoir

A man in his twenties sustained severe injuries after being trampled by cattle at a slaughterhouse in Victoria.

The incident occurred around 1:55pm on Sunday in Geelong.

According to Ambulance Victoria, the man was brought to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition with injuries to his upper body.

WorkSafe has acknowledged awareness of the incident.

A spokesperson said WorkSafe has been informed and inspectors will assess if additional steps are necessary.
