Man sustains injuries after becoming trapped in fertiliser silo on rural Queensland property

A man was flown to a hospital after being injured while stuck in a silo in rural Queensland.

The LifeFlight helicopter was called to a property in Eurombah at about 1.50pm on Sunday.

It came after reports that an elderly man was trapped while working in a fertiliser silo.

Firefighters were able to rescue the man after five hours.

He was attended to at the site before being flown to Roma Hospital, where he remained in a stable condition.
