Man suffers severe burns in Sydney workplace incident

SafeWork NSW has launched an investigation after a man suffered severe burns in a workplace incident in Sydney's Northern Beaches region.

The 34-year-old man suffered burns to his hands and face after cutting through an electric cable with a power tool in Brookvale.

The incident happened on Saturday morning.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
