Man plunges to his death from hot air balloon in Melbourne

A man has lost his life after reportedly tumbling out of a hot air balloon basket over a residential street in Melbourne.

Emergency services raced to Preston at about 7:30am on Monday following the discovery of a man's body on Albert St.

It is thought that the man was in a hot air balloon when he fell.

WorkSafe Victoria, the Air Transport Safety Bureau, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority are all investigating the incident.
