Man killed in workplace incident west of Townsville

A young man was fatally injured after being trapped beneath heavy machinery at a job site in western Queensland last Friday.

Ambulance paramedics reached the site on Richmond Woolgar Road and discovered a man pinned beneath heavy machinery, in a critical condition.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is probing the incident
