Man in critical condition following Melbourne workplace incident

A man’s life hangs in the balance following an incident involving a scissor lift in Melbourne's southwest.

Emergency services were sent to Altona North at around 8pm on Wednesday.

The man in his 40s was in a critical condition when he was transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital following an upper body injury.

WorkSafe has been notified about the incident.
