Man flown to hospital after being injured by drop saw on Queensland property

A man sustained a serious arm injury following a drop saw incident in South East Queensland on Thursday afternoon (8th August).

The man, thought to be in his 80s, reportedly sustained the injury while operating a drop saw at a private property on an island in the Moreton Bay area.

At 4:35pm, Retrieval Services Queensland dispatched the LifeFlight helicopter, and QAS paramedics brought the patient to a nearby sports oval where the helicopter touched down.

The LifeFlight crew collaborated with local QAS paramedics to provide treatment to the patient prior to his stable airlift to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
