Man fatally struck by truck at Sydney recycling business

A worker has been killed in an industrial incident in Sydney's west on Thursday evening.

Emergency responders arrived at a recycling plant in Greenacre at about 7:30pm.

Police were present outside the recycling facility, where it is reported that the man, in his 50s, suffered an amputation that ultimately led to his demise.

Efforts by paramedics to revive the man were made, but it is reported that he succumbed at the scene.

SafeWork NSW has been notified of the incident.
