Man charged for alleged assault on WorkSafe inspector

A Victorian man has been charged for assaulting a safety inspector at a Melbourne construction site in June 2021.

The man faces charges under the Victorian OHS Act for allegedly obstructing a WorkSafe inspector who was inspecting a work site.

Victorian safety watchdog WorkSafe also accuses the man of intimidating and assaulting the inspector contrary to the OHS Act.

He is due to appear at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre, Collingwood, at the end of this month.
