LifeFlight transports man to hospital following horse riding incident

A man in his 50s was transported to the hospital by the LifeFlight rescue helicopter after falling from a horse north of Brisbane.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning.

The helicopter was deployed to a private property in the Gympie region at 8:38am.

Collaborating with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, the LifeFlight medical team provided treatment for the patient's back injuries.

The man was then flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further care.
